Welcome to the site of Bolton Community Play Park. Here you can learn about our Village's new and exciting project.

This is a  joint project between the "Bolton Bunch" (a community play park group set up by parents with young families), Bolton Memorial Hall Committee, Bolton Parish Council and EDC (which currently manages the play area).  A target of at least £50,000 has been suggested, based on the cost of other play parks in Cumbria.

Local funds raised so far:  £7,636.16 - click here for a breakdown.  Very well done to all involved.  We are also hoping for a donation from the local Bolton Willows Trust.

Grant applications: Having raised local funds ourselves, the Parish Council and the Hall Committee are now in a position to apply for grant funding.  Once sufficient money has been awarded,  EDC (as the current manager of the site) will oversee the tendering process and place the order on behalf of the community.   The timing of applications means that that the earliest date the contract can be awarded is  May/June next year.  If all goes to plan, installation will commence after Field Day on 23 June.

Donations from local companies: Children at the school have written some incredible letters of support & requests for donations:  if you know of any companies that  might give a donation, please let us know.
